Installing the Theme
Before beginning the installation and configuring of your new theme, you must first have
WordPress already installed on a server.
Once you have setup a copy of WordPress, there are two ways you can go about installing the
theme:
1. Installing by FTP Upload
Unzip the download and upload the theme directory INFINITY into your WordPress themes directory /wp-content/themes/
2. Installing by WordPress Upload
This is definitely the easier route for most. Simply navigate to Appearance › Add New Themes › Upload. Click the “browse” button and locate the still zipped theme folder. The theme will be uploaded and installed in a matter of seconds.
WARNING Please DO NOT UPDATE this theme automatically from wordpress.org server, you will be notified by email once the new update is available.
Home & Blog Setup
Begin creating a new page by navigating to Pages › Add New. From here, simply give
the page a title i.e. “Home”, and click Publish. Add one more page that will be the blog.
For this page you will only need to enter in a title as there is no page template to
assign.
Now that you have created the necessary pages, you must tell WordPress to use
them appropriately. Head on over to Settings › Reading and toggle the “Front page
displays” to “A static page”. Choose the home page you just created as the "Front
page", and the blog page you created as the "Posts page". Save your changes. Now
your home page will correctly display as the front page of your website and the blog
page will contain all of your posts.
Minimum Requirements
Demo Content
You can quickly set up your theme same way as our demo site.
To do so:
- Navigate to
WP Admin > INFINITY > Demo Importer
- Select your Demo and install it
- It will take a few minutes to install and upload all content. That's All! Enjoy.
Shortcodes
Usefull panel for adding elements into your posts, widget and page builder. This plugin “Segment” presented to you by NAVIDESIGN ,that is why with this generator there is no need to remember any syntax either, because every shortcode is one click away in our intuitive shortcode generator!
Alerts
Simply with just one click and some configuration you’ll be able to add 3 kinds of alerts in your posts and pages.
Divider
This shortcode creates a divider to better separate your sections. There is three options available to choose.
Single Image
This shortcode has 2 options. just choose/upload your image and then checked if you want display this image in full width mode otherwise left it unchecked.
Using Shortcode Into Widgets and the Page Builder
There is some type of widget in your widget area. You can recognize theme with their prefix. Some of those created for the page builder and the other for theme sidebars and footer. There is two widget you can use theme for reflect your shortcode in your widget or in the page builder and both named as Text Block. Simply just choose your shortcode in pages or posts and config that and then cut/paste the syntax from your text editor to your Text Block and save it.
The Contact Page
Building the contact page is really easy.First go to "pages" add a new page & choose the "Contact Us" page template from the dropdown list on the right, just under the publish settings. Publish the page. In default , contact form use wordpress mail service and it’s very important to add the author email in user setting. If need somthing more advanced, read below.
Using Contact Form 7
After install and activating this plugin, go to contact menu in Wp dashboard sidebar.create your own contact form and grab the shortcode. After this go to options menu "INFINITY setting" and go to contact section. Paste your shortcode to field that related to contact form, after that default theme contact form will be removed and this contact form replaced with that.
